This PCIe to M.2 Adapter is compatible with Raspberry Pi 5. It supports the NVMe protocol M.2 SSD.
It easily connects to the Raspberry Pi 5 PCIe interface through the 16-PIN cable that is included with the adapter.
NVMe Drive Protocol Support
This Raspberry Pi 5 PCIe to M.2 HAT is compatible with the 2242/2230 M.2 SSD. The adapter supports Gen3 and Gen2 modes. You can use this setup to boot Raspberry Pi 5 from the SSD.

You can easily monitor the status through the onboard LED indicators.
