Easy Assembly

Setting up KKSB Case for Raspberry Pi 4 is a simple and easy process. You begin with fixing the rubber feet to the bottom. Then pick up the PCB and place it inside the case and tighten it with the help of the screws. Cover the assembly with the case lid. There is no need for any screws because the lid and the bottom are designed to fit like a spring (snap-fitting).

prepare yourself to rush to the hardware store and purchase .20€ worth of M2.5x16 screws (or order a batch of 100 on Amazon) if you want to fully secure your board and power hat. Underwhelmed by the too short included screws (fine if you don't have the power hat or if you don't care about secure everything together).

Disappointed

I’m honestly pretty disappointed with this case purchase.

First of all, the shipping experience was frustrating. It took two full weeks just to dispatch the parcel, and then another week+ for delivery. Nearly a month of waiting a parcel to be delivered within EU is unacceptable.

The case itself is solid and feels well built. The materials are sturdy and it looks clean once assembled. However, the design has some serious usability issues.

Once you snap the lid onto the bottom, it is extremely difficult to remove. There’s no easy way to separate the two parts without feeling like you’re going to crack the lid or damage something inside. That’s a big problem if you ever need to access the board again.

Another major oversight: although the case is advertised as compatible with a PoE HAT, they do not include longer screws that are required to mount the HAT properly through the case and board. Even worse, they don’t specify the length of the included screws anywhere. So there’s no way to know in advance whether you’ll need to purchase longer ones before assembly.

Cool retro case

Very nice little retro case, reminds me of lab testing devices we had in school. Solid full metal construction and super grippy rubber feet. Careful with installation, better to remove the sd card and bend the sides of the top part a bit outward
