Getting Started with 4.2-inch E-Ink Display
The 4.2 inch E Ink Display Module features an SPI communication module compatible with Arduino, Jetson Nano, Raspberry Pi, and Nucleo. It supports three colors including White, Red, and Black at 400x300 pixels resolution. The rectangular dimensions of the module are 103mm x 78.5mm and its weight is 54 grams. The module uses the MED technology known for ultra-low-power consumption. 170o view angle is ideal for the use of the E Ink Module with industrial instruments as well as shelf labeling.
How Does This E Ink Display Module Work?
The working mechanism is simple yet economical as long as power consumption is concerned. The 4.2 inch E-Ink Module uses the Microencapsulated Electronic Display technology. The module is microscopic pigments that are suspended inside in absence of the electric charge.
As the current runs through the module, the suspended pigments move in certain directions creating the programmed image or content. The pattern becomes visible because of the reflection of the ambient light.
Paper-Like Experience – Less Stress on Eyes
Once the pattern (image) is formed, there remains no need for electricity and the module holds the image for hours without power input. Moreover, the absence of the background light makes this module more economical because backlights need power input.
