Sleek and Secure with Built-in Heatsink

The KKSB Khadas Edge2 aluminium case has been designed with a built-in heatsink. It comes with a high-performance thermal conductive pad that ensures the best possible cooling, resulting in an SoC temperature of 80 degrees Celsius under full load at room temperature. For projects needed more cooling active cooling is needed. The case itself acts as a large passive heatsink, dissipating heat efficiently and keeping your device cool even during intensive workloads.

Improved Wireless Signal Transmission

The bottom plate of the KKSB Khadas Edge2 Case is made of plastic, which ensures optimal WiFi and BT performance. This is because metal cases can interfere with wireless signals, leading to reduced performance. With the KKSB Khadas Edge2 Case, you can enjoy the full range and speed of your wireless connections.

Stability and Protection

The KKSB Khadas Edge2 Case comes with rubber feet that not only protect your table from scratches but also provide maximum stability for your device. The rubber feet keep your Khadas Edge2 board in place, preventing any accidental slips or falls.

I like it a lot

Bought this case to take my Edge2 with me on my trips.
Very happy with it. It looks like a gem. And the thermals are good enough.
37C idle and can go up to 83C after +25 minutes all cores maxed out.
But it doesn't throttle much(1.6Ghz vs 1.8Ghz on small cores). And for normal use you'd never reach that temperature.
You could replace the thermal pad with a thin copper shim and thermal paste to improve it a little, but for me it's not needed. Thermal pad is thin enough.
The bottom plate is plastic, I think for better wifi reception. I don't mind it.
You need to place the metal spacers over the screw holes and then put on the plastic plate.
You can see assembly and thermals in my video about it.

Need a better fitting for wifi antenna

The case is designed to have no fan inside, so the case can get very hot which is expected. But I would expect the case has a better fitting for the wifi antenna. Right now, my wifi antenna is positioned inside the case, with the temp can go up to 80 degree, the wifi signal is definitely negatively impacted. I wish the case can provide a support for external fan mounting. For example, allow users to mount a small silent fan on top of the metal case to speed up the cooling.

Khadas edge2 case

A very good fit and a very nice case for khadas edge2. One problem is of course the that it gets very warm whithout a cooling fan. But that was the intention and then you don’t get the disturbing noise from the fan. So a very good case!
