Detailed Design & Capacity

The case is made exclusively of sandblasted, grey anodized aluminium and powder-coated steel. The screws that come with the screws are in a black or gold shade. A sleek and simple power button is featured on the front of the case that facilitates a satisfying click when operated. On the inside, there is the possibility to insert the form factor components that allow a powerful machine to be made. For example, the case allows you to use both full-length graphics cards and short graphics cards, which comes directly after listening to user's wishes. A PCI-Express 3.0 x16 riser cable is featured with capacity for card lengths up to 300mm of dual-slot PCI (40mm width). The effective frameless design means that even though the case can hold the mini-ITX board with powerful additions, it still only comes to a total size of 310 mm x 138 mm x 195 mm. (Excluding rubber feet and GPU bracket).

Cooling - A Mini-ITX form factor challenge

For optimal computer function, planned effective cooling is needed, especially when using a Mini ITX form factor case. An SFF case has the further constant challenge of cooling down both the CPU and GPU. In our case, we made it possible to install extra fans to the case, also with the capacity to select a 54mm fan to circulate and exhaust as much air as possible. In addition, there are plentiful ventilation holes to keep the airflow in balance. This means that no extra modules are needed for the cooling to operate effectively. Even though the compact design is of importance, space for adequate and powerful cooling must still be given priority.

In Conclusion

All parts of the case have been specifically considered and designed to provide the best functional, lightweight and effective case that is based on what people really want. If our case was to be selected as a base for new computer SFF build, the person that receives the case would also receive the capacity to house powerful components, in a high-quality shell within a modern, premium and minimalist design. The KKSB K1 Mini ITX case gives the potential to be the basis for a well organised and powerful experience through a truly unique design. It will now just be down to you how fast you wish your new compact computer to be!

KKSB K1 Review

The KKSB K1 is the best in its class of mini itx cases. It was a bit tough to situate the pc parts at first but as you start connecting all the pieces, the aesthetics shine! Post PC build, the noise level and cooling were great with no complaints. Would highly recommend again, although it would be nice if there was a black/midnight option as opposed to the silver color but since its aesthetic and symmetrical in shape its the least of my worries. Id love to send out some pics and desktop setup to continue supporting your brand. Take care

Lovely case design and quality but inadequate PCIE cable

This case looks stunning, has plenty of vents and the 2 pre-installed fans have good airflow and are very quiet. I also installed a noctua fan on the other side of the case, which was probably the most difficult step of the build but was still worth it. Overall, the whole chassis is very sturdy.

HOWEVER, the reason this review is only 3 stars is because of the PCIE cable. It wouldn't work properly with either of my AMD cards (r9 380x or vega 56), resulting in artifacting and forced shutting down my PC. Naturally, I asked for a replacement which the team happily provided... Which also didn't work. To say the least, that was most frustrating as I had to build and rebuild my PC quite a few times. I thought there must be something wrong with my setup, so I tried different OSes, different games, resetting and cleaning cable ends and sockets, etc. But ultimately the cards worked fine when plugged directly into the motherboard, without the cable.

I ended up having to buy my own cable as the support team were (understandably) reluctant to send another replacement. I choose a relatively cheap one from my local vendor, which worked perfectly and has been working for the past few months in the same configuration the KKSB cable would not.

Who knows if this is an isolated case or not but this is my review. I hope it helps you make an informed purchase.

Great PC case

Just what I was looking for, well built, small case that is packed with power and memory. I tucked it behind my monitors. Super quite! I simply love it!

KKSB K1 Mini ITX Case

This is an amazing case. I was looking for a nice and lightweight small form factor PC case for a new build, and I found this case pretty quickly. When it arrived, I was amazed by the build quality of the case. Very lightweight, all of the components fit in the case quite well, and the thermal performance under load was excellent. I would highly recommend this case for small form factor builds.
